From 1991 Album: “Breaking Atoms”….. Breaking Atoms was produced using the E-mu SP-1200. Allmusic’s Steve Huey writes that the album’s acclaim lies mostly in its production, which popularized a number of now widely imitated techniques. Huey describes that the “intricately constructed tracks are filled with jazz and soul samples, layered percussion, off-kilter sampling effects, and an overall sonic richness.” RapReviews’ Dan Mennella also notes that the beats are the cornerstone of the record. Dan Nishimoto of PopMatters considers the album’s sampling to be “neatly layered, its subject matter is modest, and its overall tone is simply well executed fun.” In his book Classic Material: The Hip-Hop Album Guide, Oliver Wang writes that Large Professor as a producer “thinks in complete song structure, never focusing on one single element—a loop, a break—but always juggling them in unison.” Upon its release, Breaking Atoms received mostly positive reviews from music critics. Entertainment Weekly’s James Bernard writes that “Main Source may not break much new ground, but [it] offer[s] a clever, quietly seductive collection in which the bass and drum tracks casually strut instead of stomp, and the sparse samples of guitar and horns allow..Large Professor’s voice to take center stage.” Since its initial reception, the album has received retrospective acclaim from writers and music critics. Allmusic writer Steve Huey declared it “one of the quintessential cult classics in hip-hop …

“101 Strings – Astro Sounds From Beyond the Year 2000-1968 “: Throughout the `60s, 101 Strings recorded several albums of easy listening instrumentals. But in 1968, when the space race was in full swing and psychedelia was sweeping the globe, 101 Strings let its hair down for a full-blown exotica freakout. A version of this music was originally released in Europe in ‘67 with the title ‘The Animated Egg’. For the US release, the producers (David Miller and Alan Sherman) gave the tracks some additional over-dubbing of spacey strings and deep-space gimmickery and released the LP as ‘Astro-Sounds from Beyond The Year 2000′. Fuzz-ed out guitars, heavy drums and strings all collided to create what has become one of the top cult classics of the psychedelic era. A classic and much sought-after psychedelic groover ‘Astro Sounds from Beyond The Year 2000′ from 101 Strings. The bonus tracks is sexy-excellent!!!

THE WASP WOMAN A Beautiful Woman by Day—A Lusting Queen Wasp by Night! [ Roger Corman, king of the cult classics, produced and directed this low-budget fear-fest, and even makes an uncredited cameo appearance as a doctor in one of the hospital scenes. Susan Cabot (Sorority Girl) plays Janice Starlin, whose cosmetics company has started to lose sales, because its marketing relies on her own once-impressive but now aging beauty. The eccentric Eric Zinthrop (Michael Mark) develops an enzyme extract from royal wasp jelly, which rejuvenates Janice, with one tiny little side effect: it turns her into a monster!

101 Strings was an umbrella term for a highly successful easy listening symphonic music organization, with a discography exceeding a hundred albums and a creative lifetime of roughly thirty years. Their LPs were individualized by the slogan “The Sound of Magnificence”, a puffy cloud logo and sepia-toned photo of the orchestra. The 101 Strings orchestra was actually composed of 124 string instruments (all male except for the harpist) and was conducted by Wilhelm Stephan. This track ( Karma Sitar ) was taken from the album “Astro Sounds From Beyond the Year 2000″ . Below , a review of this album from chocoreve blogspot Originally recorded in 1969, Astro Sounds was easy listening’s response to psychedelic acid rock. Unlike all the previous 101 String albums, whose gentle, tuneful travelogues were suitable dinner music, when poor housewives ripped the shrink-wrap off this Pandora’s Box of acid-laden rock, all hell broke loose! Fuzz-ed out guitars, heavy drums and strings, yes strings(!), all collided to create what has become one of the top cult classics of the psychedelic era. Even Goldmine recently listed Astro Sounds among the top wish-list “incredibly strange music” albums begging to be re-issued. Here in all its B-movie, LSD party-sequence glory are songs like “Astral Freakout,” “A Disappointed Love With A Desensitized Robot,” “Trippin’ On Lunar 07,” and the futuristically titled “Where Were You In 1982?” Also featured as the rare bonus tracks “Karma Sitar”, “Whiplash …

Theo Kogan has been in the fashion and music industry for over 10 years, as a model and muse doing campaigns for Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein, Burberry, Courvoisier, Rimmel and many more as well as tons of Fashion Editorial and runway work. As the singer of her former all female band Lunachicks, she inspired a gaggle of young girls and boys to emulate her style and start bands of their own. For over a decade she toured around the world with the likes of Marilyn Manson, Rancid, The Offspring and many others. Theo is also an actress and has been in films directed by Martin Scorcese, Jane Campion, and cult classics like High Times Potluck, and Terror Firmer by Troma Films and the animated feature Live Freaky Die Freaky. She is also involved in Avante Garde Theater, in the roster of NYC’s prestigious Performance Space 122 and the Summer Play Festival and Rotozaza UK and numerous collaborative performances with BIG ART GROUP, Theo’s ongoing collaboration with Rob Roth in SCREEN TEST.2 in Jan 2008. Theo also hosted the hit Fuse show Pants Off, Dance Off, and had television roles on Law And Order SVU, Third Watch and more. She also appeared on VH1’s The Metal Years and My First Time. She also did motion capture for the new game by the makers of Guitar Hero called Rockband. Characters in the game are based on her movement! Theo is a budding business mogul, about to launch a new lip-gloss and make up line called Armour Beauty with partner Allison Burns. The line will launch in Jan …
