The classic Deep Purple song revamped by sleaze rock riff masters Snew features a guest solo appearance by Allan Holdsworth on lead guitar and Synth Axe. Allan did have fun doing it and so did we.
That’s why we chose this song. For a band like us this song is one of the holy grails of rock and never would have done it on our own but to have Allan playing with us on a cover we knew if had to be something he could break the glass ceiling on.

This is definitley much cooler than the original. It’s raw and so out of Holdsworth’s element. I bet he had a blast playing it.
What the fuck were you thinking? This is like doing a cover of Stairway to Heaven. Trying to do a cover of something this legendary is virtually impossible. You’d have to 1) do a better job than the original, 2) be faithful to the original, and 3) have a get-out-of-jail-free card from God himself. In other words, it can’t be done.
