SOULTRAINFANS DUB-SACK REPOSTED: SHALAMAR 1981

Reposted, remastered, and placed together. Its gonna stay this time! These are two performances from Shalamar’s fifth album, “Three For Love” (released in late 1980). “Make That Move” peaked at number 6 on the R&B charts and number 60 on the pop charts and its known to be one of Shalamar’s cult classics (and greatest post disco smash) produced by none other than Leon Sylvers III. The second performance, “This Is For The Lover In You” reached the top 20 on the R&B charts in early 1981, but the mainstream could’nt stomach this sweet ballad. It was also remade by Babyface in 1996 that also features all three members of the band providing much of the original vocals. I was 10 yrs old when this aired and I remember it like it was yesterday. I always thought I missed the saturday morning cartoons the most but considering the state of music/television I miss the Train the most. They don’t make them like this anymore. Great post.

That is how women of yesterday were sexy, not by taking off their clothes or performing half naked like lil kim or even beyonce (yes, beyonce too!). Yesterday’s women made you want them but respect them at the same time. I like that. I like having respect for a woman I’m attracted to. That’s how Jody Watley looks in this video. And her moves are awesom.
