Originally released as a B film in 1962, Carnival Of Souls has developed a huge cult following. In the tradition of cult films, its riveting scenes unfold quickly and keep you fixed in anticipation. The plot centers around Mary Henry, a tragic figure who mysteriously survives a near drowning after the car she is in runs off a bridge during a drag race. Haunted by the experience, Mary soon endures sinister hauntings and other terrifying occult phenomena. This is a gripping, dark film with an unexpected twist ending. Filmed on location in Lawrence and Salt Lake City in three weeks, Carnival Of Souls was completed on a budget estimated at only $33000. Candace Hilligoss appears as Mary.
