Book review: Death and the Penguin by Andrey Khurkov
Aug 18th, 2010 by MrCult
This is a highly original, very readable novel, perfect for your summer holiday yet intelligent. Andrey Khurkov tells (in a deadpan style) the quirky story of a journalist specialised in obituaries (of people who are still alive) and his endearing pet penguin. The story suddenly becomes paranoid and nightmarish… Watch the clip to find out more about this interesting and satisfying cult novel !

Another excellent review, whether it be knives or books, Mr. Dagon is right on the money, although I do believe that Mr. Kurkov is a Ukrainian currently residing in Kiev.
Thank you for the book review. I certainly enjoyed it!
I look forward to your vids. Your talents and knowledge are wide. I particularly like your knife reviews of the US brands. Your commentary and turns of phrase are exquisite. Keep it up and keep them coming.
