Beisner has done an oustanding job in refuting the Oneness doctrine, pronounced as heresy numerous times in church history. It is a wonder, however, how the oneness readers were able to keep their attention with a snake in one hand and bottle of poison in the other.
Rating: 5 / 5
For those who are in opposition to Beisner’s position should consult his other works on the Trinity, rather than demand more out of this particular work. See his book “God in Three Persons”. Much of the “problems” being addressed by his opponents (on this page) are answered in that work.
Rating: 1 / 5
Mr. Beisner gives no solid Scriptural references to prove his points. He simply labels people a certain way and then espouses on his infantile accusations as if they were true. There are few instances in this book when he actually responds directly to the points being made by those he calls ‘cultists’. A very confusing book written by an obviously confused man.

I’m not done with the book yet, but I am familiar of the ancient heresey of Modalism – commonly held by many apostolic and Oneness Pentical groups. Modalism, in an effort to understand the nature of God, denies the Trinity and says that Jesus is the Father,Son and Holy Spirit despite clear verses in the New Testament which teach contrary. Thus far, Beisner, who I’ve heard on radio promoting this book, does a spectacular job. It seems the only people who have problems with the book are those who hold to the heresey of modalism. To be expected.
Another excellent book on the subject is Gregory Boyd’s Oneness Pentecostals and the Trinity. I’ll be done with Beisner’s book in a day or two. It’s an excellent resource thus far.

If one wants to know what another believes he should read the info put out by the people who believe it , not by hostile witness’s. This book is exactly that a hostile witness against another’s faith. Wait for it to be discounted, both in price and by the people Mr. Beisner writes against.
