i was also in the Legion, but for four years at an apostolic school, and the novitiate for three months. I can say that the personality cult has, of course, died completely in the Legion, and it had started to die just before marcial did. I just wish we had found out earlier. But I have nothing against the Legion, or the pope, or anyone…except marcial.

If those of you going to church tonight or in the morning take a stand When you first get there in the first 5 to 10 mins of the priests speaking stand up and scream out why are there so many pedophile priests inside the church’s??? You need to take a stand to wake others up to what’s going on with your church and how you can protect the kids in it!

a) utterly failing to evangelize as Christ taught
b) ignoring what He taught the Apostles about wordly goods.
c) forcing ppl to convert by torture, imprisonment, execution, Inquisition, persecution, and the ‘convert for food’ mode of proselytism.

The sole object of veneration is God. Not a man, men, or an earthly organization. Never was; never will be. Christ made that very clear.
NO – God is the only object of loyalty & veneration. Christ made that clear in the Gospel.
A look at the popes will show that VERY FEW OF THEM were even decent human beings. So much for the influence of the Spirit on them…

Of course the church that Jesus Christ established is due loyalty, veneration, and obedience. Would you not honor (venerate) peter and paul and obey them? Then why would you not venerate their successors as empowered by the holy spirit? I fear you have accepted a new gospel, invented by men in the 16th century, that denies the work of the holy spirit in the church.
You may want to find an argument against the ‘meglomania’ of Escriva that does not also equally condemn Peter and Paul.
The Vatican has played a bait & switch for centuries, substituting itself for Christ – and positing the clergy, hierarchy & organization as the object of loyalty & veneration. There is plenty of evidence online in Catholic sites which prove this.
That Maciel & Escriva followed similar megalomaniacal, & abusive patterns comes as no surprise. They learned that in the clerical establishment.

Maciel is like Escriva (founder of OpusDei): a cult figure & demi god. THEY are the focus of adoriation & loyalty, not God. Ditto for the hiearchy & Vatican organization; so this is not surprising.
Both of them had many of the classic characteristics of the possessed…not of saintly founders of orders. Violent rage, S&M/D&S mentality, Cognitive DIssonance in justifying abuse…..it all fits.
Personality cults are a very dangerous thing. The Legion built so much of its formation on the “example” and writings of Maciel. I left after 3 months and 1 day of novitiate. I looked around and thought something wasn’t right. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I don’t think Jesus intended his people to look like zombies. It is hard to explain, but if you have ever been to an LC/RC house,or event, you know what I mean.
Don’t worry, God is good; He loves His church and has promised us that the gates of hell will not prevail against it. And the legion/rc is truly a cult conceived in hell that is trying to destroy the church!

if you lose respect for priest you will lose respect for the church and at the end to dear God .

Pedophile Priests) that they deliberately protected for years from civil prosecution and the reason why they have been forced to close down school’s and churche’s and sell them off at bargain price’s to settle these lawsuit’s throughout the U.S.A. “
