Jim Jones – Cult of Death (part 4)
Aug 18th, 2010 by MrCult
This is the story of Jim Jones, the founder and leader of the Peoples Temple, which is best known for the death of more than 900 Temple members in Jonestown, Guyana on November 18th 1978. The greatest single loss of American civilian life in a non-natural disaster until the events of September 11th 2001, the tragedy at Guyana also ranks among the largest mass suicides in history. Many have since questioned the facts surrounding the tragedy, claiming that the deaths were not due to mass suicide, but murder. There have also been links made between Jones’s Temple and the CIA’s notorious experiments with mind control – otherwise known as MK Ultra.
