Another victory for Janet Reno. This is what led to the standoff at Ruby Ridge. The Weavers were family friends of mine and what the media and government portrayed of them was false. Ruby Ridge was supposed to be a peaceful situation to combat the negative publicity brought on by Waco. Instead, another tragedy brought on my the incompetence of the US government. Don’t look to government as your savior people, look to your Father in heaven. He will never lead you into this sort of demise.
Very fair-minded analysis – I like how “cult” is defined so as to not bash less common spiritual paths but to alert us to controlling and destructive leaders and the tendencies they display.
