Marshall Herff Applewhite created a religious cult commonly known as Heaven’s Gate.In 1997, he led his 38 followers to commit suicide in hopes of being transported onto a spaceship traveling with Hale-Bopp comet. In this video he preaches suicide.

terrible. these people had a very low self-esteem, they wanted to deny their human attributes, so they castrated themselves and committed a mass suicide – over 30 people I think.
very dangerous way of thinking – it can attract those who suffer from self-loathing and social isolation.

This guy almost reminds me of someone but I don’t know who. He looks like Bob from Sesame Street on drugs, but a voice that I can’t place exactly. Try listening to it without the video. He sounds exactly like some televangelist or SOMEONE. I don’t know.

i think the 1997 website is still online, stating they will commit suicide. this man castrated himself, he didnt believe in differences, but none of his followers did the same.
