Brazil’s bureaucratic, totalitarian government is reminiscent of the government depicted in George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, except that it has a buffoonish, slapstick quality and lacks a ‘Big Brother’ figure. The band also featured fellow La’s guitarist Paul Hemmings, who went on to join Ian Broudie’s Lightning Seeds in 1991 Precious Love was recorded in 1988 for the Onset’s debut LP “The Pool Of Life”.
