Does the SDA church really follow all the counsel of Ellen White? Take a look at some of her teachings

@JesusIsEnough777 Dear brother,
I understand that … but if she was writing in this case to people where bowling was in ‘bad’ places, or theatres the same, then she fulfilled her duties as messenger of the LORD to counsel those people she was writing to. Besides, really-how many movies are fit to be seen by Christians that would satisfy the Phil. 4:8 criteria these days anyways?? Walt Disney? – No. ‘lord of the rings’-definitely not!… etc…
@goodoldenoch Phil 4:8 commands us to think on those things that are pure & by implication avoid evil things. I am not commanding people to go to the above but going in & of itself is not bad. For example many of the above are smoke free & can rented for church events. There is also a big difference between going to see a clean movie rather than an R one. Some things can be avoided. EGW did not qualify her anti-bowling which there is nothing wrong-in and of itself it’s just a game
Dear brother,
are you saying that Christians should be going to places where there is unhealthful air (2nd hand smoke in bowling alleys, cussing, swearing); theaters (movies- like lord of the rings, spider-man, etc…) and to go to amusement parks where all rock and rap music is playing and anything to shock the senses???
I hope not! If you know that there are Seventh-day Adventists that go to these places, then they would need to know better, much better than that!
@JesusLovesYouNotSin True, the Bible MUST be the standard, otherwise extrabiblical people like EGW, Charles Russel and Joseph Smith become the new standard. Not to nitpick but salvation is based upon faith in Christ and His finished work of the cross. Yes the saved person is in right-relationship with Him but that relationship (Ephesians 1 adoption) is by faith in Christ Romans 10:12-14 Ephesians 2 and Acts 16:30
Hello JesusIsEnough , and He is.. i don’t think there are different Spirits of God. Just One…
i believe Christians should follow what Jesus Did. if we find someone in error we should let the word of God (Bible) point out where they are going wrong or to rebuke them, else it comes of as a personal attack with no substance…
Also there is a difference with going to a church get-together and going to a club.
but in any-event our salvation is based on our relationship with Jesus.
Bowling is so sinful. Don’t you know the black ball represents the devil using black people to kill white (pins) people and the gutter on both sides represents where people fall because of their tendencis
